Ely judoka Noah Aldous wins gold medal

Sat 14 Nov 2015

Ely judoka Noah Aldous produced a stunning display to win gold at the British Judo Association's Eastern Area Championship.

The tournament saw players from across the region take part, with Aldous, 14, taking part in the under-60kg category of the 12 to 16-year age group.

He eased to victory in his first bout, winning after just eight seconds after throwing his opponent flat on his back with Uchi-Mata, a fast sweeping leg technique, to score Ippon.

Aldous won his second contest in 12 seconds, again using the Uchi-Mata technique, to secure his place in the final.
